Omar Rayo (1928–2010) was a renowned Colombian artist and pioneer of op art {optical Art), recognized for his geometric, abstract paintings, sculptures and prints. Using a precise palette of black, white, red, and yellow, he created illusions of three-dimensional shapes, folding lines, and, often, with, shadows on a flat surface.
